One score on all your devices

With Premium you sign in by email with a sign-in link or a code, no password needed. SquadClock then keeps teams, matches and tournaments in step across phone, tablet and computer. Changes made offline on the touchline are uploaded as soon as you have a signal again.

It also helps when you switch phones: on a new phone you sign in and sync brings everything back. The data is encrypted on your device first, so the server only sees unreadable data.

Read the session off your phone on the pitch

The drill library holds your game forms and drills with organisation, procedure, coaching points and sketches you draw right in the app. From there you plan sessions with phases, minutes per drill and a start time.

On the pitch the pitch view shows one drill per screen to swipe through. Every session can also be printed or saved as a PDF.

The season in numbers: minutes, goals, cards

The statistics evaluate all finished matches per team: matches, goals, assists, scorer points, minutes played and yellow and red cards, sortable by column and filterable by tournament.

Over a full season you see how playing time and goal involvement are distributed across the squad, not just within a single match.

How SquadClock helps on match day

Played minutes in view: fair playing time for everyone

In youth football the most awkward question of the day comes after the final whistle: who was on the pitch, and for how long? SquadClock counts every player's minutes automatically as soon as the match clock is running.

The substitution dialog shows the minutes played next to each name, so you can see at a glance who is up next instead of keeping tally marks on paper. After the match the playing times are part of the match log and easy to show to players and parents.

Plan substitutions and record them in seconds

A substitution takes two taps in SquadClock: player off, player on. The app stops the clock for the player leaving and starts it for the one coming on — across every period of the match.

Before kick-off you set the starting line-up and the keeper; during the match you keep pitch and bench in one list. Because everything happens on a single screen, your eyes stay on the game rather than on the phone.

Match log: goals, assists and cards fully documented

Every event is logged with its match minute: goals with scorer and assist, yellow and red cards, time penalties, substitutions and the start and end of each period.

That gives you a complete match report without writing one — useful for the debrief, for the club report, or simply to settle an argument about the score.

Split the squad into evenly matched teams

For training matches and tournaments SquadClock divides your squad into teams of equal strength. It uses the strength rating you give each player; goalkeepers are pinned one per team and inactive players are left out.

Accept the suggestion, recalculate it or adjust it by hand: tap a player and swap them with a player on the other team. No more sides that are obviously stronger — and nobody has to be picked last.

Organise tournaments with rounds and several teams

For a tournament day you create a tournament, mark who is missing and split the players who are there into tournament teams — automatically by strength into ability groups, or mixed into evenly matched teams. With rounds you can do that several times on the same day, for example Funino with four teams first and small-sided with two afterwards.

You record the individual matches as usual; results, scorers and playing times feed into the same history as regular matches. Tournaments are part of the free base version.

Offline on the touchline, installable on iPhone and Android

SquadClock is a Progressive Web App: you open it in the browser and can install it like a normal app via “Add to Home Screen” — on iPhone and iPad just as on Android phones and tablets. No app store download required.

After the first load the app works fully offline, so the clock keeps running on pitches with no signal and substitutions and goals are recorded as usual. The screen stays awake during a match so the clock remains visible.

Your data is yours — local or synced with encryption

SquadClock is local-first: teams, players, matches and logs live in your browser's local storage, and the base version needs no account. There are no ads, no tracking and no analysis of how you use the app.

If you use a phone and a tablet, Premium lets you sign in by email and sync teams, matches and tournaments between devices. The data is end-to-end encrypted on the device first — the server only stores unreadable data. The privacy policy explains the details.

Frequently asked questions

The short answers — the full list is in the FAQ.

What is SquadClock?

SquadClock is a football app for coaches that lets you run a whole match from the touchline: match clock, score, goals, cards, substitutions with per-player minutes, squad management and fair team balancing.

Technically it is a Progressive Web App (PWA). You open it in a browser, install it on your home screen and use it offline from then on.

Does SquadClock work offline?

Yes. After the first load SquadClock works fully offline. The clock, substitutions, goals and cards all work on a pitch with no mobile signal.

An internet connection is only needed to load or update the app — and, with Premium, for sign-in, the subscription check and syncing. Changes made offline are synced as soon as you are back online.

Do I need a user account?

No, not for the base version. You open the app and start straight away — no sign-in and no registration.

You only need an account for Premium: you sign in with your email address, no password, via a sign-in link or a code. Your subscription and the encrypted sync across your devices are tied to it.

Is my squad and match data transmitted anywhere?

Only if you set up sync with Premium — and then only encrypted. Without sync, teams, players, matches and match logs stay on your device in the browser's local storage.

With sync they are end-to-end encrypted on your device before upload; neither we nor the hosting provider can read them. There is no tracking, no advertising and no analysis of your usage. The privacy policy has the details.

Your data stays with you

SquadClock is local-first: no tracking, no ads, and no account for the base version. All content is stored on your device. If you use sync with Premium, it is end-to-end encrypted on the device first — the server only sees unreadable data.
